When Graisi was three years old she gave me chronic, migraine headaches. After two cat scans, an MRI and some anti-convulsive medications, I was finally diagnosed that my daughter was making me sick... literally. The stress of having to deal with her was giving me headaches so I'd take some Tylenol. The frequency of it all caused rebound headaches so I took more Tylenol. I had a headache for 4 months solid. Some of the migraines even made one side of my face numb. (Alecia, don't let Maddie do this to you.. it's not worth it. It's not your fault, they're all like her at this age :o) Just word of encouragement ...
With that said, I feel like I'm back in 2003 again. 2nd grade is killing me. I'm so tired of the battle of trying to get her to do her best. She argued with me that "Are Barbie Dolls are the same." was a legitamate sentence. Hello Dorkfish!!! It ain't!
We had another incident at skating practice last night that I won't care to blog about, but next time you see me, ask. I'll tell you...
Will we survive this with everyone unscathed?

Second grade is going to kill us as well. Blake told me this morning he hated school, hated homework and he knew everything he needed to know, so there was not reason to go back to school! He got out of the car wiping tears out of his eyes! I don't know what we are going to do...
I'm not sure what alien nation came and abducted all of our 1st graders and turned them into the children from "you know where" but I would appreciate it if they would bring our lovely babies back to us shortly. If not, they're replacements aren't going to survive!
Hunter couldn't do his READING homework last night because his LEG hurt.
That's all I have to say! Please oh please bring back my sweet child to me - whoever has him!
Ladies please! You really are scaring the crap out of those of us who have first graders right now! Maggie loves school this year. Please oh please don't tell me that will change in just one year! I already have to deal with teenage kids everyday who hate school. If I have to come home to it as well, I will have to take something a little stronger than Tylenol. Hang in there! Prayers are being sent up!
Okay, huge thanks for the words of encouragement!!! I seriously needed that. We aren't even near 1st or 2nd grade yet and already I feel like someone came and took away my sweet 1 year old and traded her in for a "terrible two" who is now becoming a "testing three".
I'm off to the drugstore for more Tylenol...
An update - Hunter declared last night that he loves second grade, that it is the best! Don't know what changed in that 24 hour period - but thank you Mr. Alien for my child back!
Do you think the aliens will bring them back one by one? I'm still waiting patiently on mine.
Janet, I'm sorry to tell you that 1st grade was also great for us. But when the aliens come, there's nothing you can do about it :o) They apparently brought Hunter back, so I guess there's hope for the rest of us... right??
