I'm going to try and get it right, but this conversation happened between Martin and Graisi on the way to summer camp last week. It started in the driveway and ended in the car
Graisi observed a bird feather on the driveway and so goes the story...
Graisi: Daddy, the bird was flying East when it's feather fell out
Martin: How do you know?
Graisi: Because the pointy end is pointing East and it always points in the direction that the bird was flying
Martin: So if that was is East, which way is West?
Graisi: (Pointed to the left) In North America we can only go East and West because we can only turn left and right.
Martin: Well...which way is North?
Graisi (Pointed up into the sky)
Martin: Well..which way is South?
Graisi: (Pointed down to the ground and a little irritated at her Daddy because he didn't know this information :o)
Martin: (Pointed out the front window) Well...which way is this?
Graisi: Frontwards...(DUH)
Martin: (He couldn't resist, pointed out the back window) Which was is that?
Graisi: BACKWARDS...
Martin: How do you go North?
Graisi: You have to go to the top of the Earth and get on a spaceship and then you can go North. You have to do the same thing to go South.
Our house is never boring!!!!
