Saturday morning was great. Martin took both of the girls to the skating rink. I had the house to myself all morning! Thank you Honey!! Then it began about 1:00... Old Navy, Wal-Mart and Lowe's and a stop off at Dairy Queen for a cool treat before heading back home :o)
We spend the rest of the afternoon and well into the night installing new lighting outside, stairwell light, new chandelier and taking down two ceiling fans, painting them and putting them back up!! Oh I forgot to mention, I took off all of the kitchen and bathroom drawer pulls and painted them too. We didn't technically paint the whole ceiling fans... only the brass parts of them. They are now a beautiful hammered copper color. I love them and wish I'd done this long before now. Why is it you do so much to your house to improve it's appearance right before you sell it? It just doesn't make sense...
Anyhoo... We got the house back into shape in about 2 hours after church. We were runnin'! And we had one person come look at it! She had called a couple of weeks ago and said she found out about the open house from the sign in the front yard. It seems she drove by Saturday and got a flyer. Hey, it only takes one, right?? Please continue to pray we get a buyer soon.
Graisi was with Kerry and Mallory yesterday afternoon and she and Mall were racing down a drive-way. My most graceful one tripped and skid down the last half of the drive. She has a nice little road rash and a bad skinned place on the front of her ankle. But she'll survive.... we hope :o) Good thing Kerri is a nurse and took care of her very well.
Kerri or should I say, Mallory and Graisi kept Alli Claire for us last night while we used some Lone Star gift cards. It's the first time we've been out to dinner by ourselves in over a year. The girls did a great job keeping AC out of trouble and entertained.
Today was Alli Claire's first full day in her new Busy Bee class. She didn't want me to leave.... but probably had something to do with her not sleeping well. She had a really bad dream and was screaming this morning about 5am. When Martin got up to her he was expecting her to be standing up and screaming, but she was curled up in the corner of her crib crying. He said when he picked her up it startled her and woke her up. She was pitiful!! But went back to sleep once she got to snuggled into our bed :o) Hopefully tonight and tomorrow will be better for her.
