Well, it finally happened. Alli Claire tumbled down the stairs yesterday afternoon. I had been laying in the floor playing with her when she decided to climb the stairs. This is nothing new and she's done it at least a hundred times in the past few months. I'm not sure what happened... she was about half way up when I looked up and saw her tumbling head over heals and side over side. It's like she just bounced to the bottom. When she landed she was on her back, face up with a confused look on her face. About that time her mouth opened with no sound.... this went on for about 15-20 seconds. Then the sounds/screams came. Man is she LOUD!! But all is good. She wasn't hurt, just a little scared. I checked all of her extremities and made sure they were all working and checked her head to make sure there weren't any bumps on it. She didn't climb them again after that so I'm wondering when she'll get the courage to do it again.
We got the letter from Graisi's new teacher this year and I drove down to the school to see who else is going to be in her class. There will be a couple of kids that she already knows, so that's a good thing. Everyone I've talked to seems to love this new teacher. I'm excited to meet her Monday morning at orientation. I pray Graisi will have a great school year.
Because Graisi is at Daddy and Nancy's this week, I called her last night to tell her who her teacher will be and who will be in her class. She called a little later and said she'd lost another tooth. I'm not sure how much the Tooth Fairy will bring this time, but the last tooth that was lost at Mamaw and Papaw's house, the Tooth Fairy paid $20 for ONE TOOTH!!! OMGoodness!!!
She comes home tomorrow and we've got to go school shopping and maybe to Movies in the Park. We'll see.
