Let's play a little catch up today shall we?
Graisi finished her 26 mile marathon Saturday at Linn Park in Birmingham. Martin put her in the back of the pack so she wouldn't get trampled on when the race started. And surprise, surprise! She wasn't the last one to finish! We were so proud of her and she was of herself for doing it. She got a medal for finishing and had a good time socializing with another of her classmates during the race. It seems they had to stop and walk a little bit and talk about the kid with asthma who shouldn't have been running...
We had dinner with the Carpenter's and Love's Saturday night. It was so nice to see everyone again. It only took us a year to get together! The little ones had so much fun together. Kendall, Mark and Dori's 22 month old daughter, gave Alli Claire a run for her money. They are so much alike, but they still played very well together. We have plans for a date night where the little ones will stay at home. I can't wait!
Sunday morning was spent at Childrens Hospital downtown. Alli Claire woke up caughing up "stuff", running a fever, wheezing again and her lungs sounded funny. So off we went. Graisi spent the rest of the morning on Kerri sofa and pretty much the rest of the day over there. The doctor came in and said the bronchiolitis was still the culprit of these new symptoms but there still wasn't anything they could do for her... After a dose of Motrin and Tylenol she didn't have a fever for the rest of the day and she was feeling much better. I kept her home with me
Monday because she woke up with another fever, but after medication, she was fine... Mom didn't feel well Monday and was on the couch most of the day with sinus issues. I'm still not feeling great, but I'm much better than I was Monday. Alli Claire is still running one fever a day, but like I said before, one dose of medicine and she's fine for the rest of the day. She's always had these weird illnesses that even her doctor can't figure out. I'm just chalking this one up as another one.
Last night we got Graisi in with a private ice-skating coach for the next three weeks in preparation for the Blades in Bama competition. Here we go.... After this on March 1st, I'm thinking about giving her a break and letting her take art lessons. We'll see.
Girl Scout cookies came in last night so I'm delivering my little heart out for the rest of the week. Graisi also got her uniform in complete with the beenie! She looks so cute!! I'll post pictures when she goes to deliver at Martin's office tomorrow.
