Sick baby AGAIN and Ice-skating advances

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday, I was home sick with Alli Claire. It started at 1am yesterday morning and didn't let up until 7pm last night. I called Martin around 10am and asked him to come home after I'd gone through all of the towels in the bathroom and the sheets where then wet. Then I got everything cleaned up and called and told him to stay at work. Then around noon, I had put two blankets down in the living room floor (because we didn't have anymore towels)and was sitting in the floor with her as "the look" came upon her face. After she finished throwing up, I had her sitting on my lap trying to get everything around us settled back down when I heard "the sound". You know the one....poop shot out of both sides of her diaper onto the carpet, both blankets, myself and her. My first thought was, "OH NO!!! What do I do???" I immediately called Martin and recanted my previous conversation and ordered him home NOW (all on voice mail of course). Then it was like I took myself by the shoulders and shook myself into, what I like to call, "Mommy Survival Mode". I got both of us up standing and tippy toed across the carper, praying the whole time nothing dripped onto the carpet. I succeeded!! I put both of us into the bathtub, clothes and all and hosed us down. As I was sitting in the bathtub, I literally enjoyed it. All I could think of while I was sitting in the bathtub waiting for the poop to go down the drain was, there are women out there who would love to be sitting where I was and taking care of their babies. But for some reason or another they weren't able to have children. Talk about an epiphany!!

On to Graisi... we had skating evaluations Tuesday night and she advanced from Basic 2 to Basic 3!!! She and we were very excited!! We knew she could do it!!
She also Jump Roped for Heart Tuesday instead of Wednesday, like we thought. She said she did really well. She added some people she was jumping for...Grant of course, but she added Mamaw Dunkerlin (LaRue) and Popa (Vinnie). When she got home she said they needed some jumpin' too :o) You gotta love her!

Here are some pictures Suzanne took while she was at the house this weekend... Enjoy!
