Graisi had a wonderful time with Mallory and Kerri the past couple of days. Kerri was going to Mom of the Year. She took them ice-skating Saturday. Sunday she ordered in pizza and let them stay up late. Monday, they went down to the school and rode their bikes around the walking track (which they thought was soo cool!). Yesterday as I was driving home, I called to see where they were. They were supposed to have gone ice-skating again, but Kerri said she took them to Chik-Fil-A and ran into a couple of Mallory's friends who were going to the zoo. So they detoured and ended up there. All in all, she said they were great with minimal arguing.
Today is back to school AND school pictures. Why would they schedule school pictures the day after a long break?? Needless to say Martin and I both forgot about them until this morning.
She is wearing pig-tails and a white shirt. I think this is the same look she had in her pictures last spring too... Oh well, these are never that great anyway. I really only focus on the fall pictures. Those are the ones that go in the yearbook. I've got my priorities right, huh?
Some of the women from our Sunday School came over last night and we munched on girlie food and had great conversations! I do love getting together with them and just be me. Not a mom, not a wife, not an employee....just a girl with friends. Now, don't think we didn't talk about the kids. We did, we just weren't responsible for them at the time and could consentrate on just enjoying each others company. And can I say, good food?? We always have a great assortment and plenty of it. We're Baptist and we know how to eat and fix enough to feed a small army.
When Martin brought the kids home from skating, Alli Claire sat down at the table and enjoyed a crousant with us, too.
